BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO THE COMPETITION
President Xi Jinping gave an important speech where he proposed the creation of a good development environment that is conducive to innovation and entrepreneurship, to drive the reform and opening-up policy. We need to maximize the entire society’s innovation and entrepreneurship creation momentum, and continuously enhance China’s influence and competitiveness in the world. Guided by national policies, the Dongsheng Cup brings together global innovation and entrepreneurial resources, uses the entire chain and accompanying services to help marketize entrepreneurial projects, and is committed to creating an international innovation and entrepreneurship center. The competition was officially launched in 2013. Over the past 7 years, it has attracted a total of 7,060 Chinese and international entrepreneurial projects, which includes 1,765 international projects. It has followed-up on more than 500 incubation projects and is providing global entrepreneurs with a high-quality and broad “Entrepreneurship +” platform.
In 2020, the competition will bring together global high-quality resources, combine comprehensive entrepreneurial guidance, and follow the global competition system to showcase the core regional industry advantages. It will help the successful implementation of projects by combining the local incubation matrix and industry service resources. The scope of the projects covers scientific and technological innovation fields such as life sciences, digital economy, new energy/new materials, etc. The competition is on a global scale and includes regional preliminary rounds, regional quarterfinals, global semifinals, and a global finals.
TARGET PARTICIPANt DOMAINS
The competition is open to global participants and there is no participation fee. The competition targets college students and outstanding entrepreneurs.
The competition is divided into startup group and enterprise group.

If the entrepreneurial project has not been registered in China at the time of winning the award, the entrepreneurial
prize will be issued after the winning project is registered in China.
Hummingbirds are the smallest birds in the world.
On average, they beat their wings 50 times per second, and can fly at speeds of up to 45 km/h!
Despite their small size, they can fly across mountains and rivers as they travel to their wintering grounds every year. They have exceptional memory
and can travel over 5,000 km, as they migrate back during spring.
